pausing the Covid-thoughts

     I have decided to take a break from trying to write and think about Covid-19 topics. I know I wrote the last article in May, and since then the pandemic just hasn't stopped. The situation keeps developing, and although we are past the major, rapid changes, there is too much information swirling around for me to synthesize into a handful of coherent articles. Quite frankly, on top of all of that, the state of the world is also very stressful and saddening to read about in that much detail, especially with all of the political movements and tragedies happening in tandem.     So, I am going to take a break from trying to write about Covid-19, and I'm going to write about other things that interest me. We'll see what pops into my mind, and I'll just keep enjoying the process like I did with the initial presentation that started this entire blogging thing.     On the side, I started learning coding today, and I am really having fun with ...

what I think about pandemics, while experiencing one

     So...this is awkward...I don't feel like I have the power to jinx the fate of the planet, but really who knows?      Just half a year ago I made my little passion presentation , and lo and behold, two months after that, the Covid-19 pandemic was declared. My first reaction was admittedly, "I told you so." My secondary reaction was, "what now?"       I am still stuck on the latter reaction. I am following all the guidelines, and new laws in place. I am relentlessly on the emotional roller coaster of optimism, pessimism, frustration, hope, defeat, angst, jitteriness, denial, and a bunch of other things that just cause inner chaos.
